DESCRIPTION: This webinar will lay out the basics for establishing a well-structured process of ongoing philanthropic resource development. It will address the components of such a program including the Annual Fund, the Capital Campaign, the Endowment Fund and how they interrelate. It will give you immediate, actionable ideas to elevate your fundraising program now and begin building for the future.


  • Gain a better understanding of the building blocks of Resource Development: The Annual Fund, Capital Campaigns and Endowments and understand how they interrelate and contribute to a well-designed resource development program.
  • Implement techniques and processes used within core areas of fundraising and understand how they work together.
  • Understand how different solicitation methods develop meaningful communication with their constituency in order to build understanding and support for their organization.
  • Understand why fundraising is important to both the future of your organization and your community and develop an awareness of how fundraising can create a high return on investment now as well as for the future.
  • Gain confidence to initiate resource development programs and begin developing donors to ask for and receive gifts.

STRUCTURE: 1.5 hour program using the Zoom platform. This webinar will be presented twice – attendees will choose ONE date/time. The two webinars will be almost identical.

PRESENTERS: Darryl Ahnemann, principal of Ahnemann Associates, has been in resource development since 1968. A seasoned professional in funding for non-profit organizations, business development and promotions, he has worked with both public and private entities in higher education, health care, human services, and with care centers, churches, and economic development agencies. Ahnemann is an expert in the conception, initiation, startup, coordination, development and implementation of successful fund raising efforts.

Kristina Ahnemann Ridgely, principal of Ahnemann Associates has a passion for assisting her clients in developing a solid understanding of and strategy for an effective resource development plan for both short and long-range goals. Prior to joining Ahnemann Associates, Kristina’s career has been in service to not-for-profit community provider agencies. Ahnemann Ridgely is well informed on business, political, and social issues facing the non-profit climate today. Kristina works to better interpret and articulate customer needs to the constituents you desire to reach.
